Save Bantamsklip Initiative & SA Tourism Industry

Save Bantamsklip - A good initiative against Nuclear Power Threats - but what we really need is a change, a change in general thinking. SA Tourism Industry must be the first and most engaged protector of our national environmental resources - Fauna and Flora - because these resources are the foundation of our business.
Or do you want to run an accommodation establishment, a tour operator business or a restaurant in Tschernobyl or Fukushima?
Sustainable energy production by using our national 'green' resources of energy - wind, water & sun - and sustainable tourism are going to drive profit and employment. A lot of small and medium sized South African enterprises would create a real economical boost with benefits for all of us. Ecology and economy are not in contradiction.
Let's create a real Rainbow Nation with all groups of our society being involved. Doesn't matter where you are coming from. South Africa needs you for a 'greener and brighter' future.
For more information about our ecological and economical alternatives and chances please check out The Advanced Energy (R)evolution Report published by Greenpeace Africa. A pdf-file for download is available as well. It's not an 'all in one solution' but it might help and assist you in your personal brainstorming process. Your ideas are too good not to be thought ...
Let's close with the words of the President of the Republic of South Africa
“...Our commitment to tackle climate change does not rest only on the achievement and implementation of international agreements. Our commitment must be borne out by what we do here at home. We have the means indeed, the responsibility to ensure that our policies, programmes and activities contribute to emission reduction and respond to the impact of climate change on our country and region.”
PRESIDENT JACOB ZUMA - KEYNOTE ADDRESS, GREEN ECONOMY SUMMIT, 18 MAY 2010
